FAQs

Putt Above is ALL OVER these questions...

Booking & Game Experience

Putt Above is a high tech mini golf experience. Our mini golfing lanes have projection mapping, automated scoring, visuals, sounds, and a selection of different mini games. All of our games are played on the same lane, which means the lane is yours for the duration of your game.

We only have 4 lanes available, so we’d strongly recommend booking online in advance. You can just turn up, but there’s no guarantee that a lane will be available.

We’ll be happy to move your booking for free as long as you give 7 days notice. For changes with less than 7 days notice, a £15 fee will apply.

You can cancel, but we can only refund your booking if given more than 7 days notice. This gives us the opportunity to resell the slot.

Of course! Each lane usually takes up to 8 players so for up to this number, simply let your host know on arrival and they’ll add the extra players on for you.

Otherwise, if it’s going to exceed 8 players in total and you require another lane, you can either book an extra lane as normal or contact us.

Well, there’s about 9 holes but they are all on the same lane! The lane changes depending on what mini game you decide to play. It’s not like a traditional mini golf course.

Our lanes can host up to 8 players at once.

During peak times there may be a minimum group charge required to book.

Currently, you can book a lane for 60 minutes. Your time only starts once you’re on your lane. You can play any of the mini-games within the allotted time.

All of our prices are on our… well… PRICES page.

We recommend Putt Above for those aged 8 and over (but this isn’t a restriction).

Anyone younger than 13 years (12 and below) cannot be left in our venue unattended at any time. They’ll need to be supervised by an adult over the age of 18.

Those 13 to 17 years old can be in our venue until 8pm. After 8pm they must be accompanied by an adult (18+).

No under 18s are allowed in the venue after 9pm.

Check out the EXPERIENCE page for details on what mini-games we have to offer.

If the lane is free after your slot, our lane hosts will be able to offer you options on extending your game if this is something you’d like to do!

We sure do! Our food selection on opening will be simplistic and designed as quick bites you can have whilst in your lane.

We’ve also got a fantastic selection of cocktails available. Head over to our FOOD & DRINKS page for more information.

Yes, it’s all QR based. Just order via the QR code and we’ll bring your order straight to your lane. Remember to order at least 20 minutes before your game end time. We may ask you to move to our seating area after your game end time.

As it’s 2024, we’re a CARD ONLY venue. Most ordering takes place via QR code, so ensure your phone has plenty of battery. We can take manual orders, but these will still be payable by card payment only. We accept VISA and Mastercard.

You can, but there may be a long wait (or simply no availability). We currently have 8 lanes which get booked up pretty quickly so we 100% recommend BOOKING ONLINE.

We’re pretty relaxed here at Putt Above and we don’t have a dress code, just make sure you’re wearing something.

We love big groups! See our Events and Parties page for the latest prices and options.

Getting Here

If you head over to the CONTACT page, you’ll find a map. Or you can find our location HERE.

Our exact postcode is DY5 1XJ.

Right outside our venue, there are free car parking spaces for up to 5 hours. These should be perfect if your just visiting us.

If you need a bit longer, then you’ll need the Waterfront Car Park which is free all day. It’s about a 5 minute walk to the canal side, which is where we are located.

The Waterfront is part of the Merry Hill complex, albeit a bit further north than the main shopping centre. Any buses heading to Merry Hill will get you in the right area. It’s then a 20 minute walk from the main Merry Hill bus stop to Putt Above Dudley at The Waterfront.

There are also bus stops on Engine Lane and Dudley Road (Wollows Rd), which are a short walk away.

The nearest train station is Cradley Heath, but you may need to consider a taxi if travelling from here.

Accessibility & Documents

As part of our lanes, and general atmosphere, it’s possible that our lighting effects could trigger those who are sensitive.

Our lanes and general areas make use of smoke machines, which can effect those who are sensitive or suffer from breathing difficulties.

We’ll be updating this a bit closer to our opening. Your welcome to CONTACT US for more information if you’d like to.

We do! We’ve prepared a lane which has a bit more room to manoeuvre which should make it more comfortable for those with limited mobility. You can book this directly from our booking system.  We also have an accessible toilet.

We will do, this will be available soon.
